My B&W clown bites me when I put my hand in the tank. Does anyone know why he does that ?? He is really aggressive but he is perfect with the fishes lol.
Pretty much most of them can or will do that.
When I had my maroon she was really bad, but I learned by accident that if I wore my shiny dive watch, she would hit her reflection and not me, so that became part of my routine, and eventually she got tired of it.
Maybe something like that or just good gloves will help you.
My female Maroon does, anytime close to BTA land..... Occelaris aren't to that point yet.
I punk her out with a flick, but it doesn't faze(hit) her LOL. Mated for 5 years now, she'll win every time =). If they have a nem, they will/should protect...
My male does this as well. I think he's just checking to see if I'm food because after a few nips he gives up and swims off to do whatever clown fish do.
I think mine is a she also but I think she hates me for what I did. Even I put a stick in the tank and even a little bit of my finger is in the water she goes and bites that part. I dont know as annoying as it is I think it's cute. I'm glad he doesn't have teeth .
I didn't think Many people have this problem lol. I like how she runs the tank though. She is defending my other fishes also. I proly gonna put a next to my hand to kinda scare him off.
I don't think she's "mad" at you for moving anything, and she's not defending the other fish; she's just defending her territory. It might look like she's defending the other fish, but that's just because they happen to occupy the same space. I used to have a pair of black ocellaris, and the female started biting me after they got a BTA. They can be feisty!
