My clown has a goatee

I had a clown that had the same thing growing on it's face and sides. They grew larger and larger but eventually went away on it's own. I did a FW dip twice thinking it was a parasite or some fungus. The FW dip did not seem to help. The behavior of the clown never changed and it continued to eat so I did not worry too much. I would just give it some time. Do you have a cleaner shrimp? Maybe they would clean it off?

I first noticed it about a month ago. I let it go for about a week before posting anything. It has gotten progressively worse. Her behavior has been normal, she just looks terrible. I do have a cleaner shrimp, but the only thing I have ever seen him clean is my hand at feeding time lol.

try chopping up some garlic along with the food let the juices soak in before feeding.
depending how they do i would do the fw dips.
i would do the medication and qt if it got really bad.
The less stress the better imo. signs that behavior is fine, indicate its not a huge problem.
Also...random but ive dealt with it once and notice my heater was sending current through the water.
perhaps faulty heater? assuming nothing else has changed biologically in the tank

I have been feeding food soaked in Selcon and garlic for the last week or so. She didn't seem to be getting better and if it was something serious, I didn't want to spread it to my other fish, so I put her in my hospital tank. I didn't really want to use copper on her if I didn't have to, and since I already had it on hand, I used Furan 2. Today is day 4.

It is really hard to get a good picture. Her cheeks look much better but the spot on her chin looks about the same. It looks almost like a skin tag hanging off her face.

As some others stated. I had that happen after I got my clowns in the beginning and it went away naturally. Not sure exactly what it was, but I did try a fresh dip on them in the beginning once, but it didnt' seem to do much and I kept them in the display with no effects.
