I thought I would post my clownfish setups for you all to see as far as it goes the onyx are breeding and the black occelaris are showing signs. Both pairs are captive bred in thailand.
The A. chrysopterus and A.sandaracinos are wild fish that I aquired over the last year.

Yeah I just got a rbta so will wait acouple of weeks for it to settle down and then you might have nailed my next move.
they have virtually no middle bar and cost a pretty penny.

u should get some trochus snails to eat all ur brown diatom algea they do an awesome job, i have 2 of them, since i got em, havent had to clean the tank since, they ate ALL of it lol

oh nice reef tank btw. i see u have a snail in there so thats good ;)

are u going to leave those onyx eggs in that tank, or transfer them? i would have no clue what to do if my clowns spawned.

And a beautiful Cinnamon/Maroon Also a big fav. More pic please lol.

I love that Maroon. Is a beautiful one that is getting pretty big. But gets alot bigger. Take care of it I always loved them.

Cool addition, have you noticed the RBTA bothering any of the corals in the reef? I've always been a bit nervous about mine cruising over an wiping out some of my stonies.

A bta will plant itself for life if it likes the lighting, flow, and water quality. And maybe not. I wouldn't put a nem in a tank of corals.
But never tried corals...

That's why I have a Nem tank. But have a couple clowns.

I've had the BTA go right up to the LTA. Didn't see any damage at all. On either Nem. But th BTA moved.

it touches corals and clams slight irritation no damage as yet, its a melanopus clons and there not clarks but chrysopterus, thanks all.

your chrysopterus, did you acquire them with that much black, or did they turn that way?

quite funny you should say that as when I aquired them they looked quite different and we all (including you) had some debate on their id. The first pic in this
thread is the female above believe it or not she went almost black in a haddoni and stayed like that when I took her out, I would love her in my reef tank, and plan to have it that way if she ever calms down she is a brute., especially when she has an anemone.

Ron if you read that thread you were right and phender was wrong a bit of a first (him being wrong) and just shows how difficult clarks complex juvies are to ID.

Its far from the first time. :)

Chrysopterus are a difficult ID sometimes. There are just so many variations and they are one of the few clowns that will often look less attractive once they are in your tank for a while. I'm glad yours colored up so nicely.
