thanks i figured i would show some of mine although they arent as nice as some ive seen on here

Thanks for sharing, but it doesn't matter if they are or aren't nicer than the next guy. Reefing is not competition or comparison. As long as they are alive, happy, healthy and you're a responsible reefer, that's all that matters my friend, right?

What type of lighting do you have?

Do you plan on mounting them to larger rocks and allowing them to grow up?

Could you share your parameters?

Are you getting good growth?

Thanks again, great job and good luck with them.

Mucho Reef

the majority of them are in my 29g because it is"dirtier", ive got a 4x24 t5 fixture with two aquablue+ and 2 of some other gies. bulbs
yes the majority of these are waiting to grow up to be big colonies i just gotta let them grow into the disk size so they will overlap and attatch to a rock.
parameters heck i guess i should check them i just do a water change when the leathers start pouting. havent really check the params in a long time
growth seems to be slow on the smaller colonies and a little quicker on the larger ones i guess it is just a numbers game
thanks for looking,
austin

very nice.
the apprentice and the black and orange are my favorites.

mine too. they unfortunately both got bleached looking from me leaving the topoff water running in the tank all night but they survived at least, maybe they will color back up one day

i know ive been a little lazy lately but im starting to get back on top of it everything is doing ok so its not as bad as it could be.

so i checked my params yesterday and here they are
sg-1.026
alk-6meq/L
mag-over 1250 i only used one sirynge of precipitate
cal-at least 475 or better again only one sirynge of precipitate
ph-8.3 or so
nitrates-0
trites-0
amonia-0
phosphates-.03
are these fairly descent params? im not sure why my alk, mag, and cal stay so high but they are pretty much consistant every time i check them. so i guess stability is good how about the high numbers?

Need to know more about your tank to know why they stay high. my uneducated guess is that you have mainly softies and are doing some type of dosing schedule?

I think your alk should be a little higher but I always get confused with alk to tell you the truth.

I have never worried about phosphates unless I had an algae issues, with your mag that high, you probably dont have a hair algae issue (hair algae is commonly treated by raising mag).

I agree that you have a very nice collection. I have always liked the candy apple reds because of that metallic color.

Austinh-
Did you start these from just a few heads or did you get these as colonies?

Really love the black spotted!
