My cool patterns Goldbar Maroon babies

I think goldbar maroons have the most irregular striping. I'm surprised more misbars aren't specifically bred like high end perculas like platinums and snowflakes. I think there was a really high price crazy looking goldbar on RC recently. It's too bad goldbars are a menace if you don't have a compatible anemone.

Here are some I found in Google...(Just Google misbar maroon clownfish)

Mike, last I knew no one has been able to breed Lightning Maroons in captivity. Has this changed?

Nope. This still hasn't changed. Only one in captivity, and after a year of "watching" it, the owner now decides it a) was a male, and b) it turning it female. If judging progress by the past 1.5 years, I wouldn't hold your breath for any offspring anytime this decade.

BTW - both of the above pics are of the same fish.

Nice looking babies! Can you run some GFO in an HOB on the fry tank? It will help get rid of that cyano.

They are very small to have a HOB. I can live with the algae. lol.. Will transfer them to my growout tank when they get bigger. Fry tank is just a temporary place.

Those are some really nice looking babies! When the time is right, I would try to pair off ones with the most irregular patterns.

They really are fantastic.. You might have stumbled onto a gold mine with these. I know I want one. where are you located :)

Just letting everyone know that they are not FS so please dont ask or pm me.
Im keep them till they are mature to see how they turn out. I have never see any GSM babies like this other then the Lightning Maroon from PNG.
When time to find new home for them, I will post another thread.
Thanks

Wow, cool little patterns. Congrats! How long have you been breeding? Do you have picks of your setup? I'd love to see.

I think he posted on another forum about his experience with the fish but no offspring yet.

They did reopen the PNG collecting so chances are they will find another one.

Those are awesome looking GSM baby.
You have to see them in person to really appreciate the beauty of it. He has some that are irregular stripe from middle back to tail. Maybe one snowflake Maroon because the center stripe is as wide as snowflake clownfish.

I think i have one that look like a snowflake. Its hard to tell right now because he is the smallest of the batch. I kept him a small container in the fry tank away from the big one. His head strip and middle strip are much bigger then the rest. X finger and hope for the best. lol
Will try to take pic of him when he gets bigger.
