- been watching this all day trying to decide what to do. the clam worked it's way onto the coral which cradles it well. it moved around a little closer to the edge where it could've jumped off but stayed put.
- lights out now and i see what may be a bunch of small thin sweeper's(?) around the base of the 3" crocea clams byssus opening area. i can also see the protruding white (solid not threads), fleshly underside. the mantle is as extended as they get at night with no sign of stress there. to my eyes the clam doesn't appear to be bothered by the live sps coral.
- do i let it be and allow the coral under it to die in hopes that the surrounding coral will eventually grow around the clam for a more natural look, or remove the clam?
