my female Osc clownfish is selfish!!!

i just got a bta last night & it already found a ninche on a ledge. This morning, i saw my female osc had already started hosting it!!

what was funny/disturbing to see was that the female osc kept nudging the male osc out of the anemone!!!

either the male had a few too many drinks w/ my red legged hermits or my female's one selfish fish

Anyone else have this issue when there clownfish first started hosting???????

for about two months my GSM female made the male sleep on the rock ledge supporting my BTA. he would sleep there during the day...it was so sad.

the nem split about two weeks ago, and i was so excited he would finally have his own!!!

sadly, now she has two, and he still sleeps on the rock...

My female tomato does not let my male into the anemone at all either. he sleep in a nook in the rock by the anemone's foot at night. She's a brute!

i guess the female forgave him & let him in the crib. everyone's one big happy family now =D

They normally are selfish fish in general.

to people with ocellaris clowns is it best to have to clowns in the tank for hosting because mine hasnt made it there yet, and how big (inches) are yalls ocellaris clowns?

my female looks mature but the male has about 1/2 inch left to grow. i got the bta from a local reefer & it's a little bigger than a softball

3/4 of my tank looks boring now because they rarely travel far from the anemone.

i guess that gives me an excuse to get another fish soon...=D

I guess mine are weird. My female pics on the hermits, snails and just about anything that ventures to her "corner" of the tank....except for the male.

She gladly gives up her corner for him and even posts a lookout for anything.

I bought them seperately by about two weeks apart and there hasn't been a bit of aggressiveness going on. I think it helps that she is about .5"-.75" longer/larger so its a non-threat issue.

I think I stumbled across a mated pair, they shimmy all day long.
