My first spawning event

Actually, it's the first one for a coral in my care. I got home from work about 4:20pm. I noticed the sole Fungia in my tank was deflated with the tentacles withdrawn, definitly not normal. As I watched, it released a cloud of sperm. This repeated at approximately 1 minute intervals, it's still going on ten minutes later. I guess I'll have to get him a partner.

Wow, that sounds awesome! Pretty neat no matter what anyone says. I agree with above, pics would be cool.

Sorry, no pictures. I don't have a camera.

Apparently these are broadcast spawners rather than brooders, so even if I found a female of the same species and they spawned, I doubt if the offspring would survive the pumps and skimmer. I may try it anyway, though.
