guys I was really looking forward to bringing that redsea max back to ky with me from the frag swap. but that didn't happen but I am glad that someone won it that deserved it.

but to my good fortune I was givin for free a clarity plus 150 with built in sea clear wet/dry. talking about a upgrade...:lol:

now for the bad news it is pretty scratched up and I don't think it will ever be dt worthy but I was wondering how you go about buffing the acrylic so i could at least use it as a frag tank.

what is the best method and product for this?

sorry mike, but i have no experience with buffing acrylic .....you got any pics of what it looks like?...i never even heard of a "clarity plus 150"

There are ways, but I can't remember... I think they likely sell something for that that probably melts a coat or something to reduce scratches (straight up SWAG on that one, though). Angela had a solution for her glass tanks I think that used toothpaste or something to help cover some of the cracks. I've never done any of it, so maybe someone taht has will chime in.

gsusfreak...I will get some pics up asap the tank is a 150g made by clarity plus but the weird thing is is that it has what I think is a seaclear systems wetdry built in. I can't find one like it on the net.

if I can find a way to clean it up a bit i may use it as a frag tank. it has no depth to it since the wetdry is built in to it. maybe figure out a way to turn the wetdry in to a fuge and have a H@!! of a frag tank.

gflat... I will pm angela about the toothpaste and maybe it will work on acrylic.

I remember someone awhile back who had a 40 breeder acrylic and they said they cleaned it up with toothpaste. Can't remember the person.
