I just started my 80g net tank with 4" SB ans 80lbs LR.
It still has high levels of nitrite,my question is should I start the prodbio now or wait ?

In that case I can order the digest,booster and bioptim for noe then maybe 6 monthd down the road start dosing the zeo products.
Does that sound like a good plan or should the zeo dosing start before that?

coral I did not do as I should have but I guess I learned from it. 6 months may be a long time and you may not like the look of your corals before then. depending on how bad your tank is when you start I would think. watch for a lightening of the corals color. they move towards pastels. that is when most people feel it's safe to start the amino's and foods. I have found that if you dose what is recommended it may be too much for a tank that is not jam packed with growing corals. I think this is especially true since as soon as I stopped dosing algea went nuts in my tank. bubble caulerpa briopsis you name it. I was only dosing about half or less also. I think if you don't like the system you need to use the carbon source after you stop everything else and do alot of water changes.

Sounds consistant with my experience too, esp taking into acount the density of sps for the coral feeding and element addition components.
Interesting that alage grow really took off when you stopped dosing - was this in relation to the bacs and carbon source with all 3 systems?

With just LR and dsb , you just need to focus on maturing the tank with bac populations and getting your nitogen cycle to 0. Everything else is introduced gradually one change at a time as you introduce corals and fish.
If I were you I'd just start a regime of prodi digest and tpim at conservative levels, and focus on keeping and maintaining ca/dkh/mg steady and at nsw levels. Please dont go for the food or element additions yet as there are no corals to consume them at this stage.

coral. exactly as simon stated with no foods yet. once you add coral then add the foods slowly not in the amounts recommended.
simon first I started prodibio by itself and got algea. I was adding all 3 of their products from the get go. I obviously did not need booster for a while.
then I started polyplabs with prodibio some time later. the algea was at this time under control for the most part. this included a daily dose of a carbon source just under what they recommended. I started killing corals and noticed the acid bottle was half as full as the other bottles even though I was counting the same number of drops. at that time I stopped the polyplab stuff and waited a couple weeks then started the zeo stuff. amino's and coral vital only but kept using the carbon source from polyplab. at this time I was still dosing 1 vial of all 3 of the prodibio items weekly. sometimes I did the digest once a week and sometimes every other week just to see if there was a difference or bloom or anything . I did not notice anything negative from that as far as I know. when I got the first coral death I was only using 1 vial every other week as directed. after a week or so of the prodibio and zeo only I started to get more coral death. so I stopped for a week and started really low and it was ok but no positive effects. I think that was 2 drops cv and 1 drop of acids. a couple weeks later I went to 4 drops cv and 2 drops acids and woke up the next morning with dead and dying corals. millis have been the first effected. I tried 2 doses a week and nothing seemed to benefit. now I have pretty much completely stopped everything and now I am full of algea. not sure if there is a nutrient build up but I am doing 100 gallons total a week in 2 seperate water changes. I will see what happens. I am thinking of starting the prodibio again to rid myself of the algea.

I have been using Probidio for six months now with CV, amino acid with great luck. I do think that you need to hold off with reefbooster until nirates are 0.
I believe alot of people started too many products at the same time causing problems. As with any new additive system it is best to go slow. Start with one method, prodibio or Zeo then make adjustments when you are comfortable and have a stable tank.
