Another way of looking at it is the thread inspired a lot of interest and discussion in the methods Iwan used in the old tank - not surprising really given how great it was

another quick question. i downloaded the zeo guide and not sure how to determine what choice to use on the zeostart(a,b,c). How do you know which is best. I run basicly the same system iwan used on this thread. I dont know if the high nutri or low nutri option is best for me. I have 0 nitrates of phos. and so on. I have used biodigest and biotim for a month and reefboooster for about 2 weeks. Zeo says you dont want to over dose so i would like to see what you guys think.

I was wondering if those pictures in your profile are your frag tank and if they are all under T5's. I am really thinking about switching from daul 400mh 14k. I think i am over powering the coral for i notice different colors on the same acros(frag from mother colony) at different depths of the tank.

Hi Steve

These are under 12 T5s using 10 of the new Korallen Zucht Coral Light tubes and 2 AM Ocean Blue Actinics. The KZs have 5% red and the remainder is 50/50 white/blue.

I;m very pleased with the effect on the eye, the growth rate and coloration. Best yet IMHE

trythechi, is thatr your tank since starting the iwan method? if so there is definitely a real positive change! are you now using 12 t5s? can you take a shot of your tank from the front now? i think your colors are much better than before you started! no disrespect to iwan but i think he has let out all his secrets and obviously you learned. nice colors!

Thanks - yes the improvement is what I'v learned from Iwan - a big thank you Iwan I think its all due respect to Iwan as he has shown us that his methods are replicatable to some extent. I'm still nowhere near his standard though - as the frontal shot shows:

Hi Frank

CV is Phols Coral Vitaliser. Its an sps food that helps with coloration and growth rates. It has most effect when you get the the super low nutrient stage where there is much less energy available to sps from symbiotic zoos.

There's been a big shakeout in the distribution of zeo stuff in the US apparently - but I'm sure if you google it or look at the US sponsors a vendor will appear.
