My last swap for a while...

I'm tearing down my last remaining system after the swap and taking my first break from the hobby in over 15 years. Its been a great ride but I have some plans for the future which won't allow me to give the tanks the attention they require or deserve.

I've greatly enjoyed my time with SLASH, both as a member and as an officer. I've particularly enjoyed working to develop the CDP and solidifying it as a useful benefit for our membership. In the short term, I will continue to manage the CDP but will eventually my duties will be handled by another very capable and motivated SLASH member.

I will be at the swap as usual selling frags (a lot of frags, actually every coral I have has been fragged) and helping out with the CDP tank. In order to reward those who have helped the club along the way to make the CDP the success it is, anyone who has logged a minimum of five CDP donations come by and see what I have. Practically every frag in my tank is available to you for a CDP transaction. Many of the corals I'm bringing have only been occasionally offered up in the CDP. Just let me know if you've logged five donations and want to use some CDP points so I don't charge ya.

Thank you all, take care, and see you Sunday!

Haven't had a good chance to meet ya Reefer, by want to say you have done an awesome job getting the CDP program where it is. I got a few frags from ya and they have been top notch. Hate to see ya go, even if it is for a short while. If I forget to shake your hand Sunday just let me say thanks.

Damn, Nick! I knew this day was coming, but it still sucks. Best wishes to you and thanks for all you've given to us over the years. You're one of the good guys for sure:)

Never have met you, but hold tons of respect for what you've done for SLASH.
And kudos to whoever agrees to take on your role, it's going to be big shoes to fill.

I hope the future is at least 2 Atmo's below from time to time man, thanks for all you did. As a newer member I reap the rewards of your hard work, again thanks.

Cheers,
Tom

I knew this day would come but didn't realize it was already here. I'm sorry to see you leave the hobby but your future plans are pretty cool. I wish you and Beth the best.

As everyone has stated hate to see this day come, but you have warned us that the time is coming. Nick you've to a lot for the club behind the scenes that will always be appreciated for many years to come.

Thanks for everything you have done and I wish you the best on your new journey

Glad to see things are taking shape for you. Good job with the CDP and all that you have done for the club including helping get the swap where it is today. Don't be a stranger.

thanks for everything you have done. the cdp is amazing.
hopefully you pass it to someone that will be truly passionate about it as you have.
ill see you at the swap and thanks in advance for the frags.

Thanks Nick for all of the hard work you did for the club and the CDP. I would've offered to take the reigns, but I'm also in the same boat, with upcoming travelling and whatnot

Nick

It's sad to see such an active and wonderful member take a break, but I suppose it is a must. Change is always difficult, but ultimately unavoidable.

Thanks for you hard work. My tank has greatly benefitted from the many beautiful corals you have put into circulation, as well as the hard work you have put into making the CDP the program it is today.

Btw, you display at the swap today was outstanding. Thanks for your awesome prices. The monster of a yuma seems to be happy in its new home, and my uncle is pleased with his new beasties as well (courtesy of the CDP).

Cheers and I hope for a swift return,

Andrew

Thanks everyone, today was a lot of fun! The turnout wasn't as big as past swaps (screw you NFL and nice weather) but I came home coral free... ...which is good because I don't have a tank with water to put any into.

Big thanks to Rackman for manning the CDP tank and makeshift101 for the supplying water!

Also, thanks to mpcart for opening up room in my garage by taking all the CDP tank stuff.

good luck in the future and thanks for all the great corals at awesome prices.

Just south of the Arc de triomphe is a nice little summer café. The apple salads amazing, and the heavy beer is primo.

cheers,
Tom

Thanks for the tip but we're not hitting Paris this time around. We're not oppose to a big city every once in a while but we prefer staying away from the crowds.

My house is so eerily dark and quiet now. It's kinda freaky.
Lmao....
And are you still getting that split-second of panic and dread because it's so dark and quiet?
Not many things worse in the world that when you walk in and your tank doesn't sound right......

Damn, another one bites the dust and another one gone...

Sorry to see you go man, you added so much to the SLASH experience, you had a good run. I wish you all the best in you your future endeavors.

Thanks for everything, Nick. It will be a bummer not having you around but you have a heck of an adventure coming up.

Best wishes.

-Mike
