I've seen Atlantic purple tangs with the yellow tales.

Been diving 20+ years and have never seen one. Do you have any photos? What do they look like?

Definitely wouldn't do that, I'm pretty sure that illegal and you may introduce a serious problem to local eco system. Kinda like the lion fish issue here in the Atlantic.
