My LTA won't plant it's foot.

I bought it from DD 2 1/2-3 weeks ago and it still hasn't set it's foot in the sand. It's still very sticky and the foot is looking very clean. For the past week I've tried isolating it under a plastic container with holes for flow but to no avail. I decreased flow for weeks to no avail.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Specs are in my sig. 2+ year old tank, regular water changes. Added sand to the area for the nem...3" or so, but can add more.

If he is sticky and looks healthy, and your parameters are in check just leave him alone. Mine stressed me out for a few weeks and finally when I quit messing with him he planted his foot and has been happy for over a year.

It's very frustrating. I'm going to leave the plastic container over it. When I take it off it floats towards the right rear of my tank.

Protect your powerheads and let him go where he wants. Let it determine its own happy spot or he am just move later.

I am not sure what to tell you Adrienne. I would just keep an Strawberry basket on top of the anemone to keep him from flying all over the tank. And wait, and wait, and wait until he attached. Feed him if he eat in the mean time. Best of luck

Took one of my anemones a really long time to get situated. He would get blown around everywhere, just be careful to protect it from your powerheads/pumps. Lost one of my previous anemones this way.

The little male, not so much. He's protecting the latest clutch of eggs on the base of the hammer. The female wants in the nem.

If I am you, I think I would use Zip-tie and egg crate and built a box for him. Maybe your contraption does not give enough flow. Best of luck
