Could be eggs if its a female.
Ahhhhhhhh I lost her male. That would make sense and my tank is loaded with pods right now due to getting ready to move ( loaded with pods is the nice way of saying too much algae). I actually the pulled the male a few months back because they were fighting every moment. I wasn't sure I had a pair.

the male mandarin should be considerably larger than the female or she will reject him and they will fight. find a larger male and try again imo
