As far as I know, I had one mantis with each shipment of rock. The first one I had no idea I had until I turned the lights on one morning and he was swimming around all willy nilly. He was pretty easy to catch. The second I saw and watched for about 2 weeks before he left one rock and was cruising around. The clicking I am still hearing, I have not been able to locate or determine where or what is the culprit.

Small tanks are tough, but you made it sure look easy, especially with the rock being shipped all the way across the country.
The corals and sponges are really doing excellent, you are a poster child for nano tanks!

remember this is a nano tank...no sump.....everybody needs calupera in their systems to control nitrates...just keep it harvested back, but you need some...what you have right now is perfect!

this is a 12 gallon nano right?
if so then hand picking will be best.
most of the things that eat this need a larger tank to live and would stip that small amount bone-clean in a few days.
just pretend your a turtle that every so often munches down that spot but leaves some...
like a weekly lawn mowing
