My nano and my pico

So figured I'd post up some pics of my current setups. I got a 28 gallon jbj nano cube for free from a buddy. The mh ballast didn't work and I want to keep operating costs down. So I added the professional led hood. Been operating a couple months now. Nothing for corals yet. Not really sure of my plans for it.

Second is a 3 gallon bowfront mr aqua tank. I have modded an ac 70 as a refugium. Put a jbj nanoglo on the side. Just need some chaeto for it. Setup some diy lights from rapidled. Not really sure how I'm going to cover them. Not a big fan of the pvc support but it does the job. Plans are to put some kind of small shrimp in there. I'd like to keep sps and a small clam in there. Once out grown they can move into the bigger tank.

Anyone have good thoughts of a small shrimp for it? Was thinking a sexy shrimp. I know abc has a different kind in the nano on their checkout counter.

my advice is to keep them simple and understocked. mods and equipment are worthless distractions at best. water changes and limiting excess nutrients will be the key to sucess.

I love that shrimp in the checkout counter tank at abc.

In a "single specimen" nano I would also be tempted to do a pistol and shrimp goby pair. Although 3g is pretty small for that...

The footprint for this is 9"x9" so I think too small although I was tempted. I did have a shrimp goby in the nano, but I found the goby halfway out one of the return nozzles. Hate to put a shrimp in that I would barely see by itself.
