So I am upgrading my system to a 125 I bought the tank and made the stand ordered 300 lbs of sand and am going to be ordering some live rock once the cycling is done(unless anyone wants to make donations of some small pieces to seed what I already have, and or some live sand would be greatly appreciated also :celeb1:). I will be uploading pics of my progress that I have made so far and as I go from here on. I am SO EXCITED!!!

So I painted the back of the tank black and started to stain the stand black also. Am trying to figure oue what is the largest tank that will fit inside the stand before I complete it to use as a sump refugium. Also have to get shorter curtians LOL!~

looks good, maybe a 20Long? im not sure if they have a 30 long. I had an issue with my 90 bow front and used a home made sump. I have actually made 2 home made sumps. Both out of glass panes cut to specs and acrylic baffels also cut to fit. A local place i know of sells weld on if you choose to go that route. easy and a good skill to have in reefing DIY style

Yeah I did the measurements and a 20 long is all that will fit, and I added the extra support to my floor just to be on the safe side. I filled my tank with 300lbs of sand and about 50 lbs of rock for now(was in another tank but had been out for about a month), cycling now. I am just waiting for my new led lights to come in and will build my sump/refug this weekend and make an overflow from a design I got off of youtube. Can't wait for the finished product, just need to remember that fast and saltwater never go together!

Really? A 20long is the best you can do? The 125 footprint is 72x18, right? Is your stand built such that a 30 (36x12) or a 33long (48x12) won't fit?

a 30 L should fit, at least at an angle through the door or through the end. looks slightly short. Will your skimmer fit?

thats the truth fast and saltwater never go anywhere good together atleast! looks good, think read think read repeat! looks like your off to good start

I have found that a 33 long would fit if I could get it in to the stand, lol, guess that is the drawbacks of a home made stand, oh well live and learn.
