That bottom one does not look like a Mexican turbo. It's pretty small too...can I post your pics on DIBS to see what they get ID at?

Go right ahead..I would like to know..THANKS!

funny little men??? married a Yankee girl? you gus crack me up. What kind of flags are ye flying at your house??

Those close pics look like nerites. I have 1-2 MM sizes of those and turbos all over my glass in the morning. I see an occasional cerinth too. Funny thing is, all the adults were massacred by hermits long ago, so it's like ... spontaneous generation!

We have a funny little lady on our coins, and animals on the other side. LOL. No flags flying at my house. We're a dual citizenship household!

Here is an ID suggestion on the snail:
http://www.korallen.no/Bilder/Turbo brunneus.jpg

This snail is called Turbo Brunneus and it breeds well in many Norwegian reef tanks.

I answer here since I was unable to post in the other forum.

Vidar

Good post. That looks a lot more like what Chuck has than Mexican Turbos. Thanks!

Hey Chuck, check out this info. sheet on Collonista sp.. Then take a look at the operculum to see if it has the pit. If it does not, then we can assume that you have one of the many South Pacific Turbo sp. and apparently one that repsorduces in captivity. Either way, these snails may have some value to the DIBS Project.

Regardless of what they are, I would like you to send some to me when you get the chance. If you are up for doing that, PM me and I will make the arrangements.

Well, I'm not on his best of friends list, but I managed to get him to retract and snap a picture to see what you think...

COUGARMAN...or anyone else knowledgeable...Need your help in telling me what type of tang this may be. I got him 6 weeks ago and it had a fungus near the top. Fuzzy, cotton ball looking spot. Kept him the the frag tank hoping it would clear up, but never did, until someone looked at it and told me to put him in the chiclid tank for 5 minutes. A few days later, it had cleared up and I finally put him in the new tank. For the life of me I can't remember what it's name is.

definitely a bristletooth of some sort. And that is a collonista. They will reproduce agressively, but I would say in your system that's probably not a bad thing. I would harvest occassionally and sell or trade them off so that they don't over-populate the tank.
