holy crap chuck, next you will need a semi

if you ever do need help though let me know.
A good sized trailer would have been nice today...This was all that would fit into the truck. How much extra time do you have on your hands? I do have a guest bedroom.

I meant to post this a while back, but with all that's going on, I forgot. The first night Willy was over helping fix the tank, we had to run out a buy a larger set of pliers to fit the fitting. We saw an item that Willy said would work, but they looked pretty cheap so we passed on it. A week later, when I was at Lowes, I found a similar item that looked of much better quality, so I picked a pair up. For two and a half years, I have been struggling to remove the tops of the Lifeguard chemical & mechanical filters during maintenance. This thing works like a charm. I threw away the package so I don't know what they are called, but if anyone else is struggling with the tops on those filters, I am here to say this really works.

I use a mini 10 inch crowbar that fits between 2 of the 4 extentions coming off the cap. Makes taking the caps off easy. However if the extensions ever break, now I have another method. Thanks Goodwin9

I can't list all of the ways I tried to remove those darn caps. Part of the problem I had was that they were tied together in series and what ever I used to try and unscrew them would hit the other caps. This deal works great!

Finally received the new impeller housing for the one that melted. The new impeller, fit into the new housing, which fit in the old pump. How can I be so lucky???

I have been using those since day one. They make getting unions open (especially ones under water) off very easy. Probably better known as filter wrenches.

Now you tell me............... I wish that we had found these the first night Willy was helping with the tank, because they definitely would have made unscrewing the unions a much easier task.

yeah man, I couldn't do it without them. Especially when I am loaded and trying to flood my tank room. They make it MUCH easier and faster! :D

I'll have to share a few tips on how to do that without any wrenches or tools of any kind. Seems like I have found more than one way.....

Also picked up a couple of small frag tanks that were laying around the shop, 45 & 30 gallon acrylic tanks made out of 3/4" acrylic..

I'm thinking about using the smaller of the two for the mangroves, speaking of which are starting to develope some leaves.

What are you planning?

Lunchbucket
I want to take down the 55 gallon tank which I sometimes, use as a QT tank and set up everything in a 75 g RR tank. That's the first tank I need to set up, plumb and get running.

A few new corals arrived today, 4 Goniopors (Flower Pots, 2 - red & 2 metallic green). Along with 2 Blue Zoanthias...

Unique shape with this metallic green flower pot, can hardly wait to see what it look like when it opens.

Good sized Blue Zoanthias, hope it looks nice when it opens....
