My new 600 gallon reef

Give him time Chuck, these are gutsy little fish.

They spend much of their time hunting in the cracks and crevasses of the rock work taking on small shrimp and bristle worms so, what's so scary about a tang or two?! :)
Wished it would find cracks closer to the front of the tank. It's a good sized fish and is probably faster than most of the tangs in the tank............

Last night, I moved the Yellowtail tang out of the ricordea tank and put it in the 600 just before the lights went out. The Powder Blue did it's normal harassing before the lights went out and I went to bed. I figured I wait and see how things turned out in the morning. This morning, The Yellowtail was still in the tank, one small cut on one side, but was surprised to see that the Whitebar tang was the fish chasing after the Yellowtail this morning. Will try for some current pictures tonight.

Hey Chuck, better to introduce AFTER the lights go out. Let the resident fish settle down.
The lights went out 5 minutes after I put it in the tank.....

Wow, that's neat. I've not seen that before, Chuck.
The spots definitely aren't orange and now it's spots are turning into stripes. I really don't know what type of rabbit this one is. Must be eating too much.....

I found these pictures of the Vlamingi that were taken back in March of '07, three or four inches at the most.

Do I see a full grown sail-fin tang with a baby one?
How big are they?
Do they get along?

I have a baby (3") in my 120 gallon and love that fish!
Don't worry I have a 270 in the garage that I will be setting up in May.

Chuck,

How many fish do you have in the 600 display? Very nice setup!
Thank you! I haven't done a recent head count in the tank, but I imagine that there are 90 + in the tank right now.
