I was able to get the LFS to special ordera Blonde Naso in to replace the one I lost a couple of months ago. It was nice to add it to the tank and not have anyone else get upset about it.

I finally got my Horse-shoe tang, (Acanthurus fowleri) tonight. The LFS ordered this one for me and it arrived tonight. To avoid conflicts with the other tangs, I put it in the ricordea tank for the night. Had a hard time getting a good picture, so these will have to do until tomorrow when all of the lights are on.

Nice! I want to try one of those eventually. Probably a good idea to put one of those in last huh??? I have heard they can be pretty aggressive.

I'm not sure about being last. I hadn't read anything about them being aggressive. The one site I looked at showed the disposition of the fish to be peaceful. I guess I will find out when I put it in the big tank.

It sure looks a little better. You can see that I didn't get the sides of the tank completely cleaned. Darn top of the tank hits me on the side of the incision. Tough to get the leverage needed to get it scaped off. Need a pillow or foam so that I can lean on the edge a little more.......

The new tangs are very pretty. Why is the newest one called Horseshoe? I don't really see anything that makes me think of one.

I believe it is the marking behind the eye that gives it the name

Fair enough, I stand corrected. I must have been thinking about another Acanthurus Species. If they are peaceful then that is even better!!! Do you have an orange shoulder tang? If so, what has its temperment been towards other fish? I am getting one soon that is switching from its juvenile yellow.

Yes I do have an Orange Shoulder tang. Mine is very peaceful and stays pretty much to itself. It's probably 4 ~ 5" in length. I'll see if I can't get a picture of it.

Mostly frozen, enriched brine, mysis, krill, & plankton. A couple of times a week, I use Ocean Nutrition flake, formula 1 & 2.

you not using the Kizami nori anymore? BTW, I found a really nice purple nori I am using as well.

I forgot about that, Yes, I am still using along with the sheets. Haven't seen purple before, just red, green & brown.

I moved the Yellow Tail from the ricordea tank last week and is doing well in the big tank now.
