My new 600 gallon reef

I'd love to see a picture as well. Hopefully the coralline hasn't taken over the front panel too badly.

I do not want to speak for Chuck, hopefully he will not mind. I know he has had some issues in the past with things and I believe he is dealing with them now, only a mater of time and he will be as good as new. Posting away and showing all he has, very very nice tanks.

It's been a while since I have updated this thread. The tank has pretty much been running on cruise control with the help of some local friends. The tank is more than I can handle right now so I have made the decision to find a new home for the tank.

I have decided to donate the tank, equipment & livestock to the local Sertoma Club which operates a Butterfly House facility here in town. They have agreed to build a permanent exhibit to house this tank and a couple of my others for the public to be able to view and enjoy. I think that the tanks will make a great addition to the brilliant colors of the rainforest's butterflies.

To create a little excitement before the remodeling begins and the tank is moved, we set up a 210 gallon tank with African Cichlids in the lobby of the facility to draw attention to the fact that a new exhibit will coming. With the help of some of the local friends, the tank was torn down, moved and setup in an afternoon.

There wasn't much I could do other than watch, so I took a couple of pictures. I hope to go back and get a picture of the tank once the water has cleared up.

Chuck,

That's a thoughtful and generous donation. I am sure your tank will be enjoyed there for years to come. Your's is still the most amazing collection of Tangs I've had the pleasure to see gathered.

Best of luck!

when i went to Sioux Falls last fall i had to stop and check out the butterfly exibit with the family, what a great addition they will be receiving.

I'm glad to see you've found a great home for your amazing tang collection.

Thanks Jared! The commitment I have gotten from the Butterfly House should provide for a good home for years to come.

Awesome Chuck!

Thanks Jonathan!

Thanks Bax! I couldn't think of a better way to give a little back to the community. It will be fun to watch the faces on people once the tanks are set up in their new home.

It's a very unique experience to walk through. I was impressed my first visit. Should make for a very nice visual experience when the project is completed.
