My new 600 gallon reef

i was able to see this tank this weekend, thank you again goodwin for letting me and my daughter stop by and check out all your tanks.

I saw some tangs i had never seen in RL before and that was awesome but what got me are some of the more common fish that were full grown. i kid you not goodwin has a blenny that is on roids or hogs all the food, wow that is one huge fish. He also has full grown damsels and chromis that were bigger then my tangs. The ric tank is very pretty also, it was just a carpet of rics.

Luis..it was a pleasure to meet you and your daughter. Glad you had the opportunity to stop and visit. Your lucky to have such a knowledgeable daughter. I'll bet she is a big help with you tanks.

The Cardinal that you asked about and I drew a blank is an Orbic Cardinal.

Not fish or tank related, But yesterday I had the opportunity to drive to Lawrence, KS to meet up with a couple of old team mates and get a tour of the the 40 million dollar expansion to Allen Field House and the new practice facility. Following the tour, we got to watch their first full game scrimmage which was pretty good. Team has a lot of talent this year.

They better watch out for my wildcats :D Those are cool pics. Kansas has one of the most talented and experienced teams this year.

In one last attempt to rid the tank of my aiptasia farm, I thought that I would give several Orange Berghia nudibranch's a chance at mowing down the ever growing population. Copperbands, and Peppermint shrimp have failed to make a dent in the population.

the best there is Chaetodon striatus, he destroys everything in 45 days, but you have to close our eyes to the nipped in corals.
the dive I did today I saw some the size of a coin of 1 cent.
today was too good, visibility of 20 meters

My original cbb kept my tank clear of aptasia, but my new one isn't as proficient. I'm hoping he'll get hungry enough to start eating them.

That's interesting. I got one in that was young and small, and it irradicated hundreds if not thousands within a remarkably short time period. Some of them had grown to grotesque proportions too. I always wondered how a fish that small could put away that much noxious volume.
