My new A. bicinctus

The last two bicinctus they had died.

Perhaps not as hard to find or not as expensive as Bicinctus, but I saw some nice melanistic Clarkii for sale in Sacramento today. Too bad I don't have room for a pair of these.

I started ramping up the salinity in their QT to normal last weekend.
Today I notice that the smallest of the 3 was breathing labored and a bit apathetic. The large ones seem fine. Prophylactically I gave them all a dose of Septra. I may also need to give them a formalin bath after all...

The heavy breathing of the little one stopped overnight with the Septra dose. He also went back to normal behavior. But something is still bothering them all as I saw them "cough" and scratch themselves.
I don't think it's Cryptocaryon, not after 2 weeks of hyposalinity and without the other typical symptoms.
It also doesn't really fit Brooklynella or Trichodina, the usual suspects with Amphiprion. Though I'm gonna give them a formalin bath anyway, just for good measure.
The other things I worry about are velvet and flukes...

There were about 3 or 4 of them with similar bars; all large in separate tanks.
Their price was $25 vs $15 brown Clarkii if price is any indicator

Back in January I saw this melanistic clownfish which I thought was Clarkii but it was around the same time everyone was getting large shipments of A. Sebae so I was not 100% positive about ID

BTA is probably what I'm gonna go with. Though it's hard to find really large ones these days...

How are the large ones from LA?
I saw some larger rose anemones at AC but $$$ at $200 each. I got a nice one for under $60 at Aqua Life in Rocklin if you don't mind the drive. They had some nice green ones too for $30

Tiny!

This is what they shipped me as large:

And this is their size chart:
Small: 1-1/2" to 3"
Medium: 3" to 4"
Large: 4" to 6"
I would call those nothing but small...

That's terrible size representation

This is their size 9 days later when - according to their customer support agent - they should have regained their full size:

The PVC fitting is a 1.5" straight connector with an outside diameter of 2.25". I would say that's at the very most medium for the larger of the two...
