I've been fighting an Aiptasia problem for months now and dont seem to get anything to work. In fact after eating one small Aip the Peppermints got eaten by the Aips. LFS near me had some Aiptasia eating filefish come in. after watching them for 4 weeks they did clear the tank of Aips, but I was still a bit afraid of putting them in my tank. I read that they can nip at corals and I put it off for as long as I could, but the Aips were taking over. Several people Ive talked to said they had good luck with them so I decided to give it a try. I only have some GSP, button polyps, a few mushrooms, one small candycane and a torch so I figured I wouldnt lose too much if it went bad. Not to worried about the torch anyway my clown wont even let me near it LOL
Well here he is
hes been in for 4 days now Weve been keeping a close eye on him and he has not shown any interest in the corals He seems to be taking out the smaller Aiptasia first as they are almost all gone He ate the first one 10 min after we put him in. He is very shy and doesnt seem interested in any of the other fish in the tank I have seen him eat some mysis and blood worms and pick at the rockwork. He rarely comes out of the rocks. It took me almost an hour to just get a good pic of him I would hate to have to catch him LOL
