My new anemone

I am parting ways with my old gig and purchased this new Haddoni today. So far it seems in decent health but just in case I has been located in a QT tank until I feel it's healthy enough for my DT. It's super sticky and mouth was tight at the store. Now at my house the mouth is a little open which I expected but body is full, foot seems healthy. Kept the flow low for the night and plan to increase it tomorrow morning if it still looks healthy.

This morning the anemone still looks healthy and I turned the bigger powerhead on and it doesn't seem upset about it. Foot has fully stretched out but the mouth seems a little open, I have seen pictures of haddoni's with their mouth open slightly and people say that it's perfectly healthy so I'm not too worried. I also noticed my anemone came with a little friend, I saw an anemone crab walking among its folds, I thought it was pretty cool to see.

Difficult to get a picture of its mouth. It has a fold that covers it completely. But I took these pictures before the lights come on.

Why did you partway with the Gigantea? They are so beautiful.

I honestly love haddoni's and the gig wasn't that bright green I was expecting. But I found the gig a home with someone local that seems pretty knowledgeable about anemones so I feel confident that it will still live a good life.

Other than haddoni's my other favorite is a magnifica but I can NEVER find one locally.


Here is a picture of it now, the mouth has me a little worried though. If it doesn't close up during the day I may start treatment tonight with the water change.

Here we are at the end of the day. Would you guys say it's healthy and can go in the DT or should I treat?

I say it looks good, but why not give it another couple of days just to be on the safe side, seeing as how it already in a HT.
