My new BTA

So, I was a local sponsor of the ARC on the south side of Atlanta and well they were cleaning their tanks and i was browsing and came across some nems that were p.o.ed and saw some wide open but were pulling the ones in a holding tank back out and was puttin them back in and saw this one. It was an orangeish color and wasn't happy. But I had to have it since it was odd. I knew it was a BTA but wasn't to sure what it exact color, so took it home, acclimated for about 2 hours and placed it in a holding tank in the main tank and let it open up and get used to its new home.. then after the lights went out, captured the two clowns to host and well now the wait is on... but i think it should be shared by amazing nem, lol I think....

What you guys and gals think? Any suggestions?

Very pretty color of pink, and good job saving it. I think if does ok it will probably look darker in color like a RBTA. I hope your B/W like it, my B/W never even give my RBTA a second look, almost a year now. Nice tank too.
Good Luck.

Thanks, hope it doesnt go darker... looks awesome and hoping the clowns go for it. that would be an amazing color combination :D
It looks slightly bleached. Hopefully it does well! :)
Good luck!

Think so? I just assumed it was its way.. but now that you say that...

Well normally the anemones that are pink are not a light pink like that. That is a rather healthy bleached one, so just keep it under good lighting and feed it once a week and try and get it back on track. I'm guessing if your lights aren't the best, that is will be a hot pink like my 10" RBTA that acts as a guard to the entrance of their host's cave. They temporarily are crashing in a 14"+ GBTA but I'm sure that will change in the nest few months once I find a bigger anemone for them... They have to have their homes to feel comfortable enough to spawn again!... And hopefully they'll get it right this time... :P

I got bored and started thinking... now i can keep an eye on them and they dont know it.. cuz when i am in there, they dont do much but look at me lol

this will be up for today until i find a more permanent solution to broadcast with a big mess lol

Anyway to put a piece of liverock with a hole/cave in it so the anemone can attach. I think having a secure footing would help it to acclimate to your tank. It looks healthy and is pretty.

only if i had rock to put in there for it.. but it will find something i am sure once it goes to the tank.. also, waffle, thats one of the reasons i put up the cam so i could see it at school to monitor it since i have nothing better else to do lol thanks for looking at it and examining it. lol
