I just set up my Osmolator last night. I originally had the pump in the sump and just drained tank water below the sensor to see if it worked and it did. I then set up a 1/2 gal of water in a small (not deep) tub and moved the pump to the bowl. This AM the light said "too low" but the pump never kicked in (at least the water level was unchanged). This brings a couple of questions to mind..
1 - does the pump need to be completely submerged below water?
2 - does the pump need to be primed in some way?
3 - Is it possible to to use a timer on the unit so that it runs only from say 1 AM until midday (like 1-2PM)? That way I could dose Kalk when the PH would be lowest or dropping.
Thanks!
