My new tank is in (the garage)

Amazing setup, Ken. I have one question regarding the seaswirl. If your seaswirl is 1", that means your eurobraced should be 2" drilled?

Ken,
Thanks for the information. I'm just not sure if it would be economical for the cost plus freight to Tennessee. Again beautiful set up.
Mike

Well, it might be a bit of a drive, but Captive Oceans will be at MACNA in Houston, and they'll bring a bunch of those ceramic sculptures, if you want to pick one up there. No tax/shipping... :)
If you're looking for something specific, just email them, and they'll bring it to the confrence.

Just dont do like I did and buy one and take it on your carry-ons on the flight back...
:P

I ended up getting my valves from Savko

Hey Ken,

Are those single union ball valves from Savko fairly easy to open and close? I ordered the regular ones from them, and they were so hard to operate that I cracked three of my bulkheads. I sent them back to Marvin at Savko for an exchange. Now, I am debating between the single union or the double union ball valves. What is your experience? Thanks.

Regards,

Joseph

Yea, were those the grey sched 80? I always find the shed 40 really hard to move, but the 80's are usually pretty smooth...

Hey Ken, I might be moving down more towards you. Maybe even past ya! Depending on job situation...

Joseph, I haven't had any problems with my union valves, single or double. They all operate very smoothly. If I have to turn any of them that are hanging off of the back of the tank, I will hold the valve with one hand and turn the valve with the other so that no pressure is transferred to the bulkheads or the tank. I can't imagine what a mess it would be if I were to break one, ore worse yet, the tank!

Lars, I like the air quality much better down here ;) and the breeze that usually shows up in the afternoon to cool things down doesn't hurt either.

Well, I have been trying to get a good picture of the wrasse I won in the raffle last meeting, but after about 50 pictures (so far) this is the best I can do.

I love this fish, now I want a few more!

Well, Chris of ReeferMadness told me the name and like usual, I couldn't remember to save my tank :)

I'm trying to find out, I'll post it when I find out.

Thanks Chuck, I think I have found the fish I want to start keeping in my tank. Dang they are colorful!

I just wonder how many, and how long before I lose one to a jump :(

ill tell you what ken bring your tank over to my place and ill keep an eye out on that fish for you...lol

Took a couple more of the wrasse tonight just before my batteries died. These are a little clearer.

Dang right I did.
After filling up an entire 256m memory card, and burned thru a set of batteries just to get three decent pictures, I earned it!!! :D
