I have about 75-80 clowns left that have actually made it...they are getting pretty big and have started to develop both stripes...I have began to feed GP in 200-300 micron size and have 300-500 in the frige..They are still eating live brine also!


My 2nd hatch only has about 15 alive!

also on the brine(nauplii) I have has a problem hatching these and having shell from the brine...having to clean all the extra egg shell out of the fry tank was a headache. I found this

and it really does work it splits the shells from the live brine!




We first saw this brine shrimp egg hatchery in Kowloon, Hong Kong and were instantly intrigued by its strange shape. With some misgivings about the functionality of the "breeding dish," I brought it home and tried it. I was amazed at the results in 24 hours! With absolutely no aeration, air tubing, direct light or heat, my yields were as good as if I had used a more elaborate set-up. With a premeasured charge of about 0.4 grams of dry cysts, the Hatchery Dish yielded over 100,000 baby brine shrimp. A particularly nice feature of the shallow, dish-like shape of the Hatchery is the naturally occurring separation of the newly hatched nauplii (baby brine shrimp) from shells and unhatched egg - resulting in a very clean harvest. No siphoning or net is required. This is truly a great product for hobbyists! For a limited time, comes with 1.75 oz. jar of Grade A brine shrimp egg (enough for about 100 cycles).

hey Bill quick question when do the baby larvae start eating once they release from the egg(clowns)?? I have been adding rotifers to the water before the eggs actually hatch? or should I wait a few days after?

Do you use a tripod?

With rots I add them before hatch so that there is plenty available when fish the hatch, without me having to get up early in the morning to feed the fish
