Zoecon and Selcon are both the same{amino acids}. Get some Kent Zoe{vitamins}, and use the Selcon. Keep the Selcon refridgerated{I keep both in the fridge}. Ocean Nutrition came out with a frozen Spirulina formula, it's awesome..use some of it to feed him too. I like it better than the formula 2. Good luck getting him healthy. You might want to read up on the use of Beta Glucan as well.

I strongly disagree with the poster who maintained that purple tangs grow slowly. In my experience, with a proper diet, they are very fast growing tangs and will quickly outgrow your tank. You probably want to start thinking of a future home for the fish. The stress of living in a confined space will make care more difficult.
