it's an echinata. it has tiny sweepers but managed to burn my chips 4-5in away. not sure how, possibly some chemical warfare going on.

Not to hijack but my Acan Echinata nuked a candycane head from over an inch away.

I saw it last friday morning, tissue from the candycane was stretched from the candycane to the acan, and yeah they are that far apart, I broke the bond the acan had but didn't move it until I got home from work and after I got this picture. I couldn't believe a sweeper got that far.
Echinata's are nasty, give it plenty of space, I'm trying to get rid of this one.

Eric, The favia I bought from them was under a large strip of T5s, only about a foot away from their lights. Maybe their bulbs are older than mine? I've had mine running since October & my RPEs are just starting to color up again.

DLC sells them, I bought my 48" T5's there. I believe they stock them.

I know dlc can get me the bulbs i need but they dont have 36" in stock. They actually got me my tek t5 fixture and 2 bulbs. I might order another set of bulbs just to play around with. As it is im very happy with the color in my tank. As far as the watermelon echino, pintw i never got your pics, so assumed that it either wasnt for sale or you couldnt get them. I went ahead and reserved a piece from dlc even though i had not seen it. This is not the tyree watermelon echino but im more than satisfied with its looks for the price i payed for it. As always dlc impressed me with their service and great customer service. Im home a little late tonight, so new picks wont be available until tomorrow.

Alright, I have a bunch of $$$ saved up for the swap & I'm thinking I should just save gas & go to DLC & spend it there!

whenever your up for it Jamie, im as addicted as anyone on here. I know it seems that im getting a lot fast, but then again my tank was empty. Remember a few months back when i sold off all my livestock? I basically only had a frag of zoas and a lord leftover. Im going to stop right now for a little bit and only get the occasional rare piece. Did you see the new zoas i got further up on this thread? if you want either type let me know so i can frag them.
