looks kinda awesome. finger cross me. after applyin too much epoxy, two of my coral colonies failed 2 days ago. but the water parameter stays still and the rest of corals recovered

hopefully i want it stay longer in the lfs but i guess my tank water could be better than in there

finger cross me. a loss means not only lots of money but also my favorite combo of nemo and nem.

ive decided to go church tomorrow---soundin a little bit desperate. hehe:debi:

it sit at the roof

Looks good so far. Sitting up top is exactly what they should do, so that's good too. And it looks really healthy. :thumbsup:

i guess it's movin slowly to put entire body just right on the rock so it can flat itself fully exposed under the light

what a hard job

alas!

all of sudden, it becomes deflated and mouth widely open with inner part out

possibly i quarantine it and do an anti-biotic treatment or just wait and see?

thanks for all the nice words

i went out for dinner

and now it recovered a little bit---lights went off

and mouth becomes tighter

guess i'm gonna add nothing more into it

stopped water change, fish feedin etc. im tryin my best not to stress it more

can i change water tomorrow?

If it deflates repeatedly than I would worry and consider treating it with antibiotic

im afraid it's splittin. the mouth goes a little bit tighter but i presume to see two or three holes in the mouth?

and one part is with very few tentacles

it now recovered a little. i change the position to expose most of its body under the light. it attached firmly to the base rock, kinda a good sign or not?

a friend of mine says anemone attaches firmly to rocks even after it dies

i'll be postin some more pix soon and just finished water test. both ca and mg is very high due to miscalculation of dosin.

no3=0
phos=0/0.03 last night the hanna readin was 0.03 and this morning it becomes 0.00. my phos readin just fluctuates between 0.15 to 0.00. when sand is stirred or i made a mess durin cleanin and water chage, it spurs up and then within a day or to it rocks down to 0.00

ca=480
mg=1650
salinity=35ppm/1.026-1.027
temperature=82.70

i guess its parts of body now rotate to deflate. have started to set up my medical tank, the only problem is i don't have strong lightin

then it recovers and other parts starts

What do you plan on using for treating the anemone? And have you ever treated?

just as described in some threads

quarantine it in a clean tank with a hang filter and a mp10

the lightin would be kinda poor--3 watts compact, eeh

ive never done so before so that's a major reason why im still hesitatin to some extent.

When my Magnifica split, fist I notice the hole in the foot. Looking down the open mouth I can see the rock below. Essentially it formed an "O", then one side would break off and formed a "C", then the ends move apart and the anemone split into two anemones.

For treatment /tank I would get a 20 gallon high tank with several fluorescent tube light (cheap from Home Depo) Make sure the anemone will not get to the PW that you use for circulation. Make sure you got heater and protect the anemone from the heater. I would divide the tank into a compartment with PH and heater, separate from the rest by a egg crate. This keep circulation going but keep the anemone from get to the equipments.

Since you just got this anemone in this tank, follow him for a few days before you do anything drastic

when the mouth closes tighter, it seems like there r three mouths, weird

ive just prepared well with the quarantine tank. now it completely deflates. yet i decided to watch closely for more days. as u said, quarantine is very drastic

my antibiotic goes expired-----so big pain in the ***

monday i would try some pet clinics in ottawa. i know none of vets here. :mad2:

if not, probably i can try my eye drops? it contains polymyxin and gramicidin, of which both r strong antibiotics that u can get from drugstores without prescription

aaaaaah, i'm a little bit mad now

It is Ok if the antibiotic expired. The drug company set the date of expiration 1 year from the date of purchase. Just a randon day that have nothing to do with how effective the medication still is. I would disregard the date of expiration of the antibiotic.
What medication do you have?

baytril

now it returns to the conditions that its parts rotate to deflate

i guess probably it is much stressed and some parts were pulled hard durin purchase and shippin.

it attached to two rocks so the vendor had to demount it from one. then on the road, with a rock in bag and lots of brake things on urban roads, probably it hit itself against the seat

i'll be waitin and watchin closely till next weekend. hopefully it would make it. if unfortunately, i must quarantine

i can take this period to make preparations better

lightin and wave acclimatin?

the ritteri stays open full when led moonlight is on and ati is off

this morning when ati lightin switched on and wave returned to 100%, it began deflatin again and mouth opened widely

some chunks just expelled outa the mouth or body, like some pruple things

it possibly got wounded so that's sorta like lime mucus from wounded corals?

or it needs time to acclimate to the light and moves

Are the clowns beating it up? they may be the culprite stressing the nem. My clowns are pretty rough with my mag..
