My toadstool leather is closed up and shiny!! Now my clown is on the bottom strugglin

Have had leather about two weeks in a four month old reef tank. Last 6 days polyps disappeared and it sagged, then turned green and shiny! Is it dead or dying and should I get it out asap. My clown is very lethargic and swimming on the floor of tank. Not sure if leather is causing him to be sick. Was totally fine yesterday.

the leather is fine, its getting ready to shed, they do it often, although sometimes in times of stress.

Not sure about the clown, do some water tests, amonia specifically

Totally agree with mc-cro . What ever issue that caused your fish to be stressed is also stressing out the toadstool.
What are your parameters?

Post full parameters. Including when and how much the last water change was.
