Ooo look Santa came again!!! HHHNNNGGG!!!
Albeit the fat old sod only left me half my presents for this lot...the other half must still be on his sleigh in transit
As you can see here clearly Jeff@LifeReef makes the best possible safe temporary home for stock he sends out even to the other side of the world ...I don't think you could fit 1 more noodle foam in this box...
Well there may of been 4 large boxes but they certainly didn't contain much other then noodles xD....I'm not worried more amazed at how paranoid Jeff is about delivering things...
Either way....
The 6 PVC tubes are the 'silencers' that make the overflow completely quiet and the box things are the inner and outer boxes for the HOB overflows (inner is black). The pieces of cardboard have wedged between them the siphon U tube.
I'm thinking about converting the Middle Tank of STAND B into my "farm" tank or the beginning of it anyway...I'm still going to keep a Stomatopod within it but I'm going to have no substrate besides a few pebbles for the Stomatopod to block up the PVC burrow that I will give it.
Going to make Racks for inside the tank that I can place plugs on to grow out or small frags / mushrooms to grow larger going to put a standard no substrate PVC tunnel system within it but it will be intricate enough for there to be utter darkness and 1/2 small pumps attached to it for flow within it.
But I'll gut the tank take out everything so it's totally bare and then put the rack and PVC in as the only things in the tank beside Stomatopod & Frags.
Super Nice LED Fixtures getting put up
Smashing the overall flow problem for good (HOBs)
Sumps incoming for TRUE filtration!
Skimmers, Reactors, Returns....
HHHNNNGGG!!!! :frog:
I still have over 2weeks off work, so if I get all this done sooner rather then later I should have plenty of time left over to finish the very final piece to the puzzle!
The ATO Storage System!
Once i have that in place, hooked up and running....
I tested out the Return Plumbing just then and water certainly gets to all 3 exits on the vertical pipe, however as I thought, the Bottom/First exit is spray quite hard, whilst the Top/Last exit is coming out "nice"...
In order to overcome this and it won't be an issue anyway, I plan on having each Return Pipe to each Tank (the portion after the Ball Valve not yet attached), to have a "hook" shape, where it will hang over and into the tank running down the rear side and an inch or 2 off the bottom, the portion of pipe below the water line will have multiple holes throughout it to help reduce the input flow but...
ALL of this will be behind the DIY Fake Walls so you won't see any of it.
All 5 of my new LED ReefBreed Photons are up hanging on their own individual DIY racks and running well they are so much brighter then my old lights...just no contest period and I don't see these lights having any trouble with SPS
I have mine set at 30% power and they are still slightly brighter then my old lights...not just that but because there is more colors in these LED fixtures then just the blue and whites of the old one that I am seeing things....differently for the first time .
Confidence in TRUE Reef Lighting.
Here is the jungle of cables that makes up the 5 old Led fixtures I removed from the system....these fixtures have 2 cables per light, whilst the new ReefBreeders have only 1 which is another bonus on space saving .
