Thanks Tritonian! I feed mine pieces of shrimp, clam, oyster, etc... all kinds of seafood about once a week.Originally posted by Tritonian
Do you feed your BTA's anything. Mine doesn't really like much of anything. I've only had him for a few weeks and I've only tried chopped up mussel and a whole mussel. Some ppl say you don't really need to feed them. Other say feed.
What do you feed?
Thanks Dudester! You can have everything under the stand except for the mixing vats. I wouldn't recommend putting a chiller down there either.Originally posted by Dudester
I'm considering a setup similar to yours, but I won't have the luxury of a separate tank room. Do you think you could achieve all that you have if you had to store all of your equipment inside of the cabinet? Thanks for your reply in advance.
Thanks bolis! Return pump is Eheim 1260. Skimmer is Deltec AP851. All 4 CL flow is aimed in a 90 deg elbow towards the back glass using Dart. Then I have left to right horizontal flow using VorTech. Additional flow by maxijet 1200 soon to be replaced by Tunze 6055 w/ controller. Then I change out my micron bag every 3 days.Originally posted by bolis06
First of all congratulations on being a dad, I’m hope to be one soon! Also great looking tank which I’m also working on getting started once I move into my new home in April. Maybe I missed it but do you have any pic or descriptions of how your flow and filtration system works also your lighting, feeding schedules or just any tips you might have for us who want to set up a tank similar to yours .
Lighting from 8 am to 3 pm. Feed flake and pellets 2 x a day. Feed lps 3 to 4 times a week (mixed seafood/cyclpeeze)
Started to feed sps "pappone" this week.
Changed my salt to HW pro.
Best advice is keeping your water parameters stable. Also need to setup your water change method easiest possible.
