Roger,
Reading this forum it sounds like others are having the same problems as myself. Bought 2 6045's last June, one lasted about 3 months before the drive shorted and was sending a nasty current into the tank. Luckily the grounding probe was working. The other unit has been noisy from day one and now is really bad, no amount of cleaning will help. It also consistently starts in the wrong direction. And I've replaced the clamps on both a couple of times, either there's too much vibration/torque or the material the clamps are constructed of is deficient. Has Tunze figured out why they break so easy or plan on coming up with better clamp? All the posts here pretty much involve sending the units back to you, just wanted to know if that's case in this situation? Thanks.
Greg
