There is no recall. Production was stopped but not due to the mounting brackets. It was stopped due to the shafts coming out and loud pumps. We had to get new drive units and tighten some of the machining tolerances to get the noise level down and keep the shafts from coming free. The broken clips was a very simple problem that we already remedied sometime ago. The clips were being scorched in the molding process and carbonized, making them very brittle. We changed the forumlation a little to contain less glass fiber and lowered the temperature of the mold. I know that this forum makes the product look bad but keep in perspective that people post here when they have a problem and we have sold 1346 6025 in the US alone, of those we have replaced 37 clips and 79 motors. This is a lot but it is actually low in the general world of consumer electronics, even the best made computer systems have a 6% defect rate, just as one example. This is not a reason for a recall. We did however stop producing pumps until we could get in new parts and change the mold, for most of our products the defect rate is below 1% and this is where we want to get with the 6025. The 6045 has been a lot better because we caught most of the problems before the 6045 came out.
