Naso in a 55

I think the Blonde Naso or Red Sea Naso are gorgeous fish, and someday I wanna keep one with a blue hippo (regal) tang, and a dwarf angel, royal gramma, firefish, paired ocellaris, and bout 3 green chromis in a 55 reef (reef upon completion). Is this too heavy a bio load?
 
Not trying to go tang ploice but Way overstocked. Naso's are one of the larger tangs and need at least a 125. IMO a hippo tang will out grow your tank. They are a type of tang that needs lots of swimming space. At least a 6 foot tank when they are fully grown.

And in advance I will take this opportunity to lodge my protestation to afformentioned "tang police." Ahem: I find you to be shrill, condescending, and arrogant. Construtctive crticism (language that would not get you punched in the mouth in person) is always welcome (see above posts by hgbarwick for examples of constructive criticism). SOOOO: when responding to my thread(s) or anyone elses for that matter, if you cant say it in a nice way, go practice falling down and we'll call you when we need something.
 
I have 2 tang in my 90
Yellow and Kole, they fit well together. They are some other tang that don't grow that large, but Naso get big.

Hmmmm....did we start this thread to ask a real question or to start trouble? Most of the time people become upset with the 'Tang police' because they tell them what they don't want to hear....And its pretty obvious, if you read and research, that a Hippo and a Naso will outgrow a 55....A Naso needs a 300 IMO...Ever seen a full grown one?

I'm sorry....was my answer shrill , condescending and arrogant?:eek: Truth hurts sometimes:p
 
Yeah Alot of people who get the full blown tang ploice don't want to hear it. But the more the Tang Ploice goes after them the more they want to keep 2 tangs in their 30 gallon if you get what I mean.
 
yes a naso will get to big for the 55. like stated above a kole or yellow would do good in a 55. good luck and let us know what you choose.
 
a small one in a 55g will be ok for a while but it will outgrow your tank. I had a small blonde in a 70 for about 4 months and it now resides in my 180 and it is much happier and even less skittish too.
 
i agree, i had a naso that started out in our 55 then got moved to our 90, but she didnt seem to happy, so i gave her away, and now i have a new one in my 180, much happier w/the room to swim
 
no tang or get a small tang and no other fish but heck no to a naso of any size in 55 g

and if you want to know that bioload is way to large, but really bioload isnt your issue here
