Never buy a fish unless you see it eats with your own eyes. Many store associates will lie to make a sale. This happened too many times to fellow hobbyists.

I would try anything green... flake, nori, Formula 2, etc. And maybe try soaking in some garlic to entice him to eat.

well I soak everything in garlic is been a habit of mine and it has always worked, now I read some were that sometimes they have something in their throat or some where in that area that is tight and they can't swallow have you ever heard that before, because i under stand getting use to the food but just swim around it like nothing and the funny thing is he comes with there rest of the pack like if he's going to eat but nothing I look everywhere on line but is all the same feed it nori feed it this that but the guy just won't eat and let me tell you his beautiful nice size about 4 inches.

Have you noticed any stringy white poop coming out of him? That would be a symptom of intestinal or internal parasites, and may cause him to stop eating if infested badly.

no his in perfect health nothing weird well perfect health without eating I was reading that they eat brokkely is good for their stomach, am going to try that today

He looks really emaciated... By the look of him he's gone a lot more than just the week in your tank without eating. Sadly, this is a fairly common issue with nasos and you should always see them eat with your own eyes before purchasing.

Mine took to formula 2 flake food first, closely followed by small pieces of nori torn off the clip and dispersed into the water column. They need soft food like that when they haven't eaten in so long.

I agree. By the looks of him, I am sure he has not eaten for at least 4-6 weeks. I'm sorry that this fish is not going to make it, and next time you shouldn't buy a fish that does not look plump and eats readily at LFS.

have you treated him with prazipro or any other dewormers? he might have internal parasites. He does look really skinny and not sure if doing it now is gonna make a difference or cause stress. But something to consider. Also now you have to wonder if he brought in any parasites with him into your display that might affect your current fish (if you didnt properly qt him).
Also is that a moorish idol in your first pic?

yes he belongs to my wife ,your right need to look at his eating behavior in the lfs still going to try to save him can't give up. the broccoli they love it especially the moorish and the lawnmower. this prazipro can you added to the dt. or it has to be in a qt.

I've even had trouble with Naso's that DID eat at the store. I'm a pretty experienced fish keeper, and have had success with many difficult to keep fish, but the Naso, for whatever reason, has been my Achilles heel. Just cannot seem to get one successfully through QT and DT acclimation.

the funny thing is if you look at him his always swimming around and all his colors are out you know they tend to get darker when stress kicks in and as skinny as he is I wouldn't have strength to swim so i don't know any more am shooting with everything i got lets leave it to the god of the sea please keep sending ideas i've noticed am not the only one with the problem theirs got to be a solution

A lot of people here on RC mentioned that they used prazipro in their display tank without any issues. I have personally used it in my FOWLR tank in the past and had no issues with it. I would definitely consider treating it for internal parasites But i would HIGHLY suggest doing it in a qt.
Also might be that it was collected using cyanide which from my readings tends to be a common issue with some of the naso's.
