NCAA Basketball

I had the good fortune of center court seats to a UCF basketball game last weekend. I was in row R so I never got very close to the players but I couldn't leave the cam at home either. Michael Jordan's sons Marcus and Jeff both play for the team but Jeff is a red shirt. Having never shot basketball before I treated it like football (follow the ball wherever it goes). This turned out to be inefficient and for most of the second half I just focused on the basket and waited for the ball to come to me. If I go to another game I'll try to get under the basket with a 50mm. All shots with Canon 50D and 70-200 f/2.8 IS. 1/500 f/2.8 1600 and later 1/640 f/2.8 2000

Nice job with the clear stopped action. I hear your point about waiting at the basket for the ball to come to you. Low noise for 1600 and 2000 ISO. Go 50D!

Could have used a few more shots of the cheer leaders. ;)

Glad you've got a camera again.
