NCPARS is seeking members to run for the board of directors. Please nominate yourself or someone you know here for a position. Other members can and need to agree and 2nd the motion. The person being nominated does have the right to decline the offer to run.

Some of our board may not be running again in this election so we are going to need some fresh people to fill in and work hard like the previous board of directors have done.

Positions available and current board are:

President Scott Bennett
Vice President Dan Rigle
Vice President of Public Affairs Rick Pucciarella
Vice President of Marketing Don Biggs
Vice President of Education Larry Flint
Treasurer Mary Timpany
Secretary Joe Hylka
At Large Sanjay Joshi
At Large Doug Arthur

* the board may have as many at-large members who are willing to run as long as the board is at an odd number so a voting on the board is not deadlocked 50/50.

Lets get started! I look forward to seeing who is going to volunteer their time to a good cause!

30 veiws and no nominations as of yet.we really need some people to step up and nominate themselves for a board position or nominate someone else or i fear we will not have enough people to run this club sucessfully. There has been talk of a few current board members that may not be available to run again this coming year and it will make things even tougher for the remaining BOD to get things done.So please feel free to nominate someone for a position so we can choose a strong BOD for this coming year and try to take the NCPARS to the next level. Thanks in advance

Ok, someone needs to kick it off.

Im Joe Hylka, current secretary, I am not interested in keeping my position. I cant guarantee how much free time I will have with my new house and the new baby coming, but would love to stay on board as an at large member, so I can help out when I can.

I would like to nominate Dan Rigle as Vice prez again. Hes been such a huge help since he came on board and we NEED him to stick around (Id nominate for prez, but hes turned that down in the past)

I second that Nomination.

EDIT: I second both the nomination of Dan Rigle (vice President) and Joe as an at Large member.

Here are a couple of important updates, and nominations.

A few more positions will be open for new board members, as follows.

It's been a good year for NCPARS, but I (Scott Bennett) won't be running again. Work, travel, and family demands are such that I need to be off the board (and clear my schedule of pretty much everything). Mary Timpany is also stepping down as treasurer for similar reasons, after a number of years of service. We will definitely be available to pass along information and documents to new folks, of course. Also, Doug Arthur will not be running again for his at large position.

Since the TFP event, I've been talking with a few people about running for positions. I'd like to nominate the following:
1) Barry Foley (intimatecple) for treasurer. Barry is a former small business owner with experience with Quickbooks (the software we use for our accounting).
2) Larry Kravitz (cccapt) for secretary. Larry has recently done our great color announcements for the swap.
Both Larry and Barry helped out at the TFP event. I've emailed with them about what's involved in the positions.

Hopefully we'll have a couple of other names to nominate soon too.

Scott

So the current nominations are:

President; Rick Pucciarella (rickyfins)
Vice President; Dan Rigle (rigleautomotive)
Vice President of Public Affairs; Scott Fernbaugh (
Vice President of Marketing; Don Biggs
Vice President of Education; Larry Flint
Treasurer; Barry Foley (intimatecple)
Secretary; Larry Kravitz (cccapt)
At Large; Joe Hylka (insanefishguy)
At Large;

Seems to me the current VP, Dan Rigle, should also be nominated for President. He can decline if he so desires, but I would like to nominate him as well.

Thanks, Larry, I have to decline (although I can do some behind the scenes work). I've been doing increasing travel to Washington, job demands are increasing, and I have less time than I need for some family matters. So I need to clear my plate; the job this year has been fun, but taken time I'm not going to have ongoing. But thanks!

Nobody ever seconded (is that a word) Larry Flint for Education or Scott Fernbaugh or Public Affairs! I will second Larry and Scott's nominations.
