Need advice on a super quite pump

I swapped out a panworld for the eheim 1262. The water is a few degrees cooler and much quieter, so quiet you cant hear it at all.

And the pump is running cool OK and how long has it been like that tamphuong??
I have an Iwaki 40 w/fan thinking of it maybe??
Cool to the touch??

I did not find the mod in the DIY forum for the pumps????

I run an Iwaki 30rxt. It is pretty efficient, quite and they are robust pumps. The bigger size Iwaki's (i think 40, 70 etc) have fans and may not be as quiet. The 30 does not have fans and mine is really quiet. The only thing I hear in my system is the Sedra 5000 pump for my Euroreef skimmer.

Anyone got any advie on making it quieter?

the noise from the Sedra is probably from the air that's being sucked in or the vibrations from the sump. You might put a pad underneath the pump to reduce the vibrations or you can just turn it off.

I have the Iwaki 30 (no fans) and it is loud. Maybe because I throttle it down (using ball valve on the outake) a little because it was too strong.
