need advice please

I just got a new ricordia today about the size of a silver doller but when I brought it home it shrunk up to about quarter size.

After acclimation I was about to put it in my tank and current caught it and it went in my rocks somewhere. Now I cant find it for the life of me will it die, Im really bummed it was awsome looking now i cant even find him.

should I tear apart my rocks to find it, what should I do? I dont want my ric to die and I wouldnt mind seeing it rather than have it attach itself somewhere where it will never be seen.

I had a little one float away on me never to be found again. They do shrink and expand with different conditions. I believe it could attach somewhere and live, as long as it doesn't get swept under a rock or into a "cave" that doesn't receive light.

Hopefully someone with more experience will speak up and help you out.

I appreciate the help it sounds to me like the only two options are to leave it to die or tear apart my rocks which I really dont want to do.
