Need Help trying to save my fish

Got two black onyx Friday. Female has white "stuff" on her chin and between her eyes.

She was constantly swimming at an angle, and is now resting on the bottom of the tank. She appears to be gasping but I could be wrong.
The male seemed a little weak too but has since recovered, and is moving quite well.

no looked more like a white lump and it got bigger day after day, if I recall correctly.

Not sure what to do with the male now, he hovered over the female even after she passed. =( He's gonna be lonely.

My clowns died from the same thing...looks almost like little pieces of cotton? One had it on it's mouth, and it started to go away, and then the other got it across it's sides, and it really didn't get much worse, but it didn't go away either....
Shortly after I noticed it, my "glass" thermometer broke in my tank, and within 3 days both clowns, a snail, and a green chromis were dead...
I think it is brookynellis, (sp), if I remember right.... I think there is a "clownfish diesese and treatment section here on RC for more info...
HTH!

PS. I wanted to warn you about the thermometer.....saw you had one in your pics!!

You could probably just wait until it becomes a female then add another male.

Maybe a freshwater dip would help.... but since the fish has died already, just try it next time. Sorry to hear about your clownfish.

My false percula clown had black-spot disease, and I cured it by doing a daily freshwater dip for about a week. I caught the fish and kept it in a tupperware container with small holes drilled all through it to allow water flow. That way, I didn't have to spend time catching the fish every day with a net (what a hassle). Dip in freshwater for about 15 minutes depending on how stressed your fish looks before the dip.
