I have dead spots in the top right section of my tank and towards the middle. Suggestions on where to add my powerhead? A or B, any info would be much appreciated!! white dots are where I loose flow, and back of tank gets almost nothing to be honest.

Hello Everyone,

New guys here.
I have a 3 gallon tank that has been running for 2 weeks, I recently switched to RO/DI after encountering diatom - brown algae problem. I made the mistake of toping off my tank with seawater not RO. My question now is will more flow help with my problem, I don't want too much that everything gets blown around. I got a CUC and getting a hermit crab on Tuesday to help out. Seems like the water change helped me out but I feel like I have a spot in the tank that doesn't get much flow, im running a simple HOB filter so I don't get much flow. I purchased poly-filter to help with whatever it can help me with (does it work??) Any suggestions on a small powerhead? Don't know the rule for gph but im thinking something like 40-69gph might help me with dead flow spots. Help me, anything else I should tell you guys just ask please. Ill do my best to answer them.

I did run some tests, but I took it to my LFS. They said my phosphates & nitrate seemed little high but everything else was fine. I know I dont over feed the yellow goby but like you guys said, its normal. After 6 days it looks much better. The rusy look is almost gone, but I still need help with my powerhead placement.
