ok.. I need to get my tank back up and running. Problem Im having is getting rock and water. I went down to the LFS in Naha. They have rock from out of contry.. like fiji or something. 5 kilo was going to cost me 10,000 yen :eek2: now dont get me wrong, this is some beatiful rock, and im thinking about picking some up anyways just to seed what other rock I can find. I dont want to get any from the ocean, but I dont want to drop $300 on friggen rock.

my next problem is water.. I still have a lot of salt and have just thought about making the inital water from that and just doing water changes with PPM or water from Ike jima. Or I can do the inital fill with 3 trips of Ike Jima water.

what to do.. :(

ive got 15g worth of jugs, mike has about another 4 I think...maybe 5, 5g jugs, 2 trips to the fish lady and its all said and done. I think I would stay away from making your own water....

I bought two of those 130 liter trash cans from Marunaka to make my kent water. They also work well for transportion water; load them empty on a back of a van/truck, fill them using the 5 gal containers, then fill the 5-gals containers as the last ones. That's what I did when I need massive water to be moved. You can borrow my 2x130s if you'd like....

Local will always be the cheapest. I would recommend putting it in a container for a month without light for a month and see what happens. For water, trash cans are easy for making large amounts of RO.

I didnt get into the water this weekend. We went walking on Saturday, got SCORCHED and pretty much stayed inside all day today :(

Maybe next weekend, I will head out. ill get you some rock if you want. I am going to get some for my tank most likely.

yea, grab me some.. Try and get small open pices.. Think I had to many big heavy pices last time.. couldnt get any flow through them. Don did good on lots of small ones, so might try that this time. I'll probably grab what Mike has left also..
