NEED TECH HELP! Anyone local with Aquacontroller wireless?

Hey Dan, A follow up on Comcast Cable and Static IP. I called again today to check on availablity of Static IP's through Comcast. Aparently, they do have them available, but only through business accounts. A sales rep is suppossed to return my call later today to discuss turning my residential account over to a business account. I told them I have a home based business and I need to run a webserver...so we'll see what happens....let you know....

".I just figured out that the service from dyndns will only work if you enable the webserver on windows"

Not so, most name brand routers have the option built in these days, my netgear router as the settings for dyndns .

Interesting....I'll have to go back into my router and see if this is possible?
Thanks ReefKeeps

Anybody have a webcam on their tanks? I saw a webcam today with a built in web server, how could this be setup, if the router already forwards incoming port 80 to ACIII? Is there a way to use either independant of each other?

Hey Acro.. I got an ACIII and am having the same problems. DRIVES ME NUTS!!! I think i am just going to hire one of these "geek squad" guys to hook me up. I'd like to get one of those webcams with the builtin server too.

Not sure how much those geek squad guys are gonna cost me though. I work away from home m-f and it sure would be nice to log in and check out the tank since nobody is home to check on it for me.

Chris

it can definitely be done. Acro, correct me if i'm wrong but your ACIII is fully operational now right? Maybe we could help cwegescheide?

The "Geeks" will probably run you $80/hr with a minimum too.

Yes, I am 100% operational...did it all the other night...my girlfriends dad from Hungary even got on this morning and turned my lights on/off.....he loves technology and had a blast!
Hey cwegescheide, not as difficult as it first seems....as far as checking in when you are out or away..thats what we spent the money for right? For starters, throw a couple questions out there on the Neptune forum..Curt has excellent support! What kind of router are you using? What is your setup from Modem to ACIII?
