nem best suited for a BB tank

title sums it up. i have a 220 BB tank with some false perc's in it and would like to add a nem in the near future for them. any recomendations?

That is easy. Non sand dwelling anemones which are H. magnifica and E. quadricolor, possible S. gigantea. Of these three H. magnifica and S. gigantea are very difficult to keep and E. quaricolor wander and kill corals.

i was afraid of that due to the research ive done. any like rocks as i have pleny of rock in the tank?

The BTA is a rock dwellar.
You could scape an island for it, and it may stay there if light/flow is good for it.
But even then there is a chance it could release and float around to a different spot.

In my experience, BTA and haddoni works best. M.doreensis LTA is absolutely a no no, it is extremely easy to keep with sand but I tried at least a dozen times on healthy specimens, they do not feel secure without a sand bed.

You can also try the sand in a tupperware method.

Since you have lots of rocks, I would go with a BTA. I find them to be quite stationary if you provide them with a rock overhang so their foot is planted sideways or even facing up and their tentacles are coming out--the column making a "J" shape.

ok old thread but new question, put in a RBTA and now wondering what clownfish naturally host this. i have false percs that ignore it but like the skunk clownfish as well. but i really want one to host in the nem as i think its beneficial for the nem. now sure how ill catch the clownfish tho!!!

that question could easily be answered by a google or forum search. RBTA=BTA to a fish.

but maroon clowns are natural 'residents' of BTA's. ocellaris/percs are not, but IME they will host a BTA in time. I added an rbta to my tank and my baby ocellaris's hosted it within 7 days.

anything else. i was looking online and found some neat clownfish i like. i know they don't need a nem to be happy but my daughter needs to have them both!!!!

What clowns? There is not a whole lot of choice for a BB tank. I think you are limitted to only E. quadricolor. If you feel up to it a H. magnifica or S. gigantea. Almost every one of the clown fish will host by a Magnifica. They are hard to keep but not impossible.
